I installed the component and it is GREAT!

After placing the javascript in the <head> tag I'm getting a gap at the top of my template in both IE7 and Firefox. Did I place the script in the wrong place?

http://www.hot1047.com is the site.

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

the javascript tag has to be placed between the <body> tag and not between the <head> . And for precise stats, it is better to put it at the end of the page.

You can use the Joomla-Visites module if you want the tag to be automaticaly inserted.

Hey arnaud!

Thanks for the quick reply! I did both, moving the code to the bottom and using the module. They still cause a gap at the bottom, but at the bottom I can live with that. Is there something in the code that would cause that gap that you can think of?

This is really a great component! Thanks for developing it! I'm going to give love on the Extensions site for you.

Try to put the code in a <div style="display:none"></div>

Hi,

don't bother about général configuration of Joomla-Visites.

Have you installed the Joomla-Visites module in a visible place of your template? What's the url of your site?

Hi Arnaud,

I have this same issue too. Installed the component & module. Published the module on all pages. Checked my site coding to see if the script is inserted and it is but yet I still have that same message appearing (No visitor in this period.Tip: Have you installed the tracker (javascript code) on your pages?)

If everything is correct (ie the code is inserted into the page) should that message appear?

Would the location of where that module is published in the template affect it in anyway?

Btw, my site is www.eramalaysia.com

Hi,

Have you published the module Joomla-Visites in a location that exists in your template? (left is the moste common location).
