Hi,

no, there is no problem to use Google Analytics at the same time.

The Joomla-Visites module is not visible. It is only necessary to write the javascript tag in the page source code in order to detect visitors. So, you have to publish it.

If you don't want any module, you can copy the entire code of the module in your template.

Thanks for your response Arnaud

Does this component gather information from all the visitors to my site, or just about those who log in into my site?

when i publish the module, in which page do i have to publish it in order not to be seen from my visitors?

Sorry if the questions are to obvious, but i am new to joomla.

This Webanalytics component works like Google analytics. The javascript tag (in the module) detect all visitors. You have to publish it on all pages. If not, all visitors will not be detected an counted in your reports.

Don't care about the database setup. It's not necessary.

To get the module code, open the file "mod_joomla-visites.php", copy the content and paste it before "</body>" in your template.

The code given in the module is more precise. It detects if the visitor is connected or not. The code ine the administration can not do that. But you can user it to manage other website (Joomla-Visites is multi-site).

I have finally published the module in the whole site the component seems to work just great it started from the very first moment gathering information, but i am getting a very strange problem, i am not sure if is related to the visites module or component but this instalation was the last thing i have done.

I had the backend password protected, but now the whole site shows a screen to give user and password, and not just the backend, the problem disappear when i do not protect the backend with password, but this is really i security feature i can not stop using.

I have unpublished for a moment the visites module to see if this was causing the problem, but is not.

i am not sure, but could the visites component causing this problem?.

Nobody has reported me this kind of problem with Joomla-Visites. I don't think Joomla-Visites is responsible for that.

What kind of password is asked? The Joomla one or an .htpasswd one?
