When i protect the administration directory with a password. and you go into the website it shows the same screen to give user and password to loggin into backend, then i click on cancel in place of giving any user/password and the screen dissappear.

Any hint what could be causing this?

Hi again i have asked for help to my webmaster to solve the problem and he says that the component/module calls some files that are in administrator directory and that is the reason that the site shows the screen for user ans pass cause the directory is pass protected.

I hope this get solved soon cause unfortunately by now i have to choose the security of the backend. i think is a great component for people like me who needs to handle everything from the backend of joomla, this a very good option for google analitics.

i will stay tuned to see

Actually, I see where the problem comes from, but there's not solution else than removing the .htaccess file in the admin directory. Are you sure this file is really necessary?
